Requirements for the creation of flash-catalogs with/ without logo upload and/ or webshop
What we require from you
Please also see the checklist for creation of flash-catalogs.
1. Flash-catalog
(Without logo upload and webshop. If you have booked one or twice of the functions, please read the requirements stated below.)
Your catalog as a open PDF file (each page of the catalog separately), either via e-mail, CD or loaded on our FTP server on ftp://www1.emerch.at. For the transmission via FTP please make applications for your access data of the server on office@e-merch.com. Please name your document with your company´s name and/ or customer ID from e-merch as well as the description of your catalog. (Example: customerID_catalogdescription.PDF)
Please also note, that we need your PDF file in that quality you deliver catalogs to printers. Pease note that we provide the requested quality based on a high- definition PDF, so that we can optimally exhaust the zoom function.
ATTENTION: Please exactly control your PDF file: number of pages, -structur, right cover (neutral or with your logo) and if the PDF is suitable for full text research.
Any subsequent revision in your PDF requires recent transforming (costs Euro 398,-).
2. Logo upload
(only necessary if you have booked this function)
a. Logo position
Additional to your catalog we require, for the definition of the logo position on your products, the pictures contained in your catalog saved as itemnumber.jpg in the optimal size 1000 x 1000 pixel. The pictures have to be neutral (without logo).
Important: As the current logos of the business customers will be seen on these pictures, please send us pictures out of a perspective, where the logo will be optimally visible.
b. Paper catalog
Furthermore please send us a scan of your paper catalog, in which you bookmark the logo position and -size for each product. Please send this paper catalog to tatut.andreas@e-merch.com.
Should we not get a paper catalog from you, we will define the logo position with our best knowledge. We ask for understanding that we can't make sure if this result will come up to your expectations. Any subsequent revision will be invoiced at cost.
If the quantity of logo positions in your catalog outruns exceeds the quantity of your order, the extra time will be brought to account.
c. Product description
Please register all product information into a excel list (please set up one of your own).We have to point out, that the quality of your product description in your catalog depends on the detailedness of your transmitted description. You can also focus on our excel list, we use for the registration of companies and products in our data base.
The product description will be needed for the mouse-up, pop-ups and the product information of "inquire product" as well as for the creation of presentations.
Should we not get a detailed product description, we have to acquire your data manually, for what we account Euro 25,- per hour.
3. Linking with the webshop
(only necessary if you have booked this function)
For the linking of your products of the flash-catalog with the products of your webshop, please add the specific links (URL´s) to your excel list of the particular pictures.
Delivery
The creation of the catalog just begins at receipt of the correct data and the 50% down payment from above. The average time of delivery depends on the order position and the effort for your catalog, and can therefore only be defined after receipt of the down payment and the correct data.
For a pure flash-catalog it comes up to 3 to 10 working days.
For a catalog including logo upload and webshop it comes up to 3 to 6 weeks.
After completion you will receive a link from us, which you can integrate to your website.
You can either integrate the file or the link (please ask your webmaster). Here you can see examples:

If you have chosen the logo upload function in your catalog, we recommend using sub domains instead of framesets for opening the catalog within your website.
For the costs of this service please contact our office (office@e-merch.com).
If you want to pass on your flash-catalog to reseller with their own cover, please send us for each reseller the particular cover as high definition PDF.
For pure flash-catalogs, we need the full PDF.
Corrections and Changes
Changes due to wrong interpretation on our part will be performed for free.
We ask you to respect for the time limit of 5 working days after receipt of your flash-catalog. All further changes will be accounted by effort.
